Chairman’s Message

Prosperity of countries in the future is greatly dependent on the unity of their civil society and commitment to collaborating towards the common good. We, as active members of these civil societies, have a significant role in leading the path to prosperity.

Our objective in the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait is to be a model council in our actions and dealings with stakeholders and our community at large. We believe in, and encourage, diversity of views, and are committed to the democratic process by which we work through differences in a civil and respectful approach.

After all, what truly unites us is a strong sense of duty towards the society in which we live. Our first commitment is the respect of laws, culture and customs in Kuwait. We do not engage in any activity or express any opinion that may remotely contradict our commitment to the wellbeing of Kuwait. As residents of this country, we have a statutory obligation to respect these values, and an ethical obligation, “the ethical tax”, to give back to Kuwait.

We are a civil group. While we respect personal choices of religion, individual preferences and political affiliations, we do not take them in consideration when working together. Our members, our dealings with the local community and Lebanon are strictly objective when it comes to religion, politics and social groups. In short, we believe that we are all equal in rights and obligations, regardless of our personal views.
